Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Obama Can't Even Throw Like a Girl

(By Greg Hengler, Townhall.com) - My original title was going to be "Obama Throws Like a Girl" but that would be an insult to girls. Note the big smile after the lousy pitch. If this failure of a pitch does not disappoint him, then I wonder what failures in his life have disappointed him.



BTW: here's a reminder of how a president should throw -- even in the wake of 9/11.
