Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

"You tax something more, you get less of it. You tax something less, you get more of it. If you tax labor, capital, savings and investment more, you get less of those things, especially in the 21st century global economy. The Ways and Means Committee has been a really busy committee lately. Since this new Administration joined forces with this Democratic Majority in Congress, $670 billion in new tax increases have been enacted into law."
