Shep Smith Gets Punked By Howard Stern Fan During Breaking News Segment

(By Colby Hall, Mediaite) - During a breaking news update on the West Virginia coal mine disaster, Fox News anchor Shepard Smith informed the viewing audience that we were about to learn new of developments from a West Virgina Coal Mine spokesman. Alas – and predictably – instead we heard the caller call Jamie Foxx the worst word imaginable (in some circles, anyway). Oh Howard Stern fans – will your schtick ever grow tiresome? Actually, yes. Like right now for example.

The caller was clearly a fan of Howard Stern’s, who is reportedly currently embroiled in a rivalry with Sirius XM colleague Jamie Foxx. Smith handled it with aplomb, quickly apologizing, and noting that, in this instance when there were 6 (now 7) reported dead, that its very difficult to find humor in this sort prank call.
