Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Day Trip: Moore's Wall Loop Trail



STOKES COUNTY, N.C. (By Brandon Jones; WGHP) - The Moore's Wall Loop Trail in Hanging Rock State Park offers some of the the most beautiful, panoramic views of the Triad. Hiking the 4.2-mile trail is free, as are all the trails in the 7,000-acre nature preserve located less than an hour from Greensboro and Winston-Salem.
