Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

STS-132 Underway - Atlantis Heads to Space Station



(NASA television) — The six-member crew of STS-132 began their 12-day mission to the International Space Station with the May 14 liftoff of space shuttle Atlantis at 2:20 p.m. Eastern from NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla. Commander Ken Ham, Pilot Tony Antonelli and Mission Specialists Garrett Reisman, Steve Bowen, Mike Good and Piers Sellers are delivering to the ISS a cargo carrier filled with spare parts and Rassvet, the Russian Mini Research Module-1.
