Karenna Gore follows in Al and Tipper's footsteps, separates from husband

(Winston-Salem Journal) - Karenna Gore Schiff, daughter of former Vice President Al Gore, has separated from her husband Drew Schiff after 12 years of marriage, reports 'People'. The news comes on the heels of Al and Tipper Gore's separation.

Karenna, 36, is the eldest of the Gore's four children and has been married to Drew since 1997. They live in New York City and have three children together: Wyatt, Anna and Oscar.

Though divorce papers have not been filed, a friend of the couple says they have been separated for months, but have sought counseling. "It's amicable and they are in counseling. They are not divorced."
