Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

North Carolina Man Claims He Saw Bigfoot

(WGHP) - Deputies in North Carolina have filed a suspicious person report after a Cleveland County man described seeing a creature with "beautiful hair" and six fingers on each hand that resembled Bigfoot.

"This thing was 10 feet tall.," said Tim Peeler, who was trying to call coyotes but believes he coaxed the mythical Bigfoot out of the woods instead. "It had beautiful hair."

Peeler said he had to fend off the Sasquatch-type beast with a stick after it went after his dogs. Peeler called 911, but said the creature returned again.
