The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Dem Analyst Kirsten Powers Calls Michelle Obama’s Spain Trip ‘Absolutely Tone Deaf’

(By Frances Martel, Mediaite) - It’s August– typically a buzzing vacation season for many Americans that has been hampered by the recent economic downturn. For many who find their holiday time diminished due to the recession, Michelle Obama’s vacation to southern Spain has seemed inappropriate, and on last night’s Geraldo at Large, Democratic Fox News political analyst Kirsten Powers condemned the trip as “absolutely tone-deaf,” and noted that she couldn’t “believe that she has done it.”
