Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Obama: Republicans Want To "Bamboozle You"



BARACK OBAMA: "They have not come up with a single, solitary, new idea to address the challenges of the American people. They don’t have a single idea that’s different from George Bush's ideas -- not one.

Instead, they’re betting on amnesia. That's what they're counting on. They're counting on that you all forgot. They think that they can run the okey-doke on you. Bamboozle you."
