The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Sarah Palin Demonstrates Her Alaskan Expertise As She Discusses Tragic Plane Crash



(By Colby Hall, Mediaite) - Tragic news broke this morning that a small airplane carrying former Senator Ted Stevens and former NASA Administrator Sean O’Keefe‎ had crashed in the wilds of Alaska. With very little news sources at the avail of various media outlets, Fox News turned to former Governor (and current Fox News analyst) Sarah Palin, who understandably demonstrated great expertise in her knowledge of Alaska and the airplane involved in the first on-air report from Alaska.
