Surry County, NC Tea Party announces candidate forum series schedule

MOUNT AIRY (By Dean Palmer, The Pilot) — The Surry County Tea Party Patriots have announced plans for a four-part series of candidate forums, intended to provide local voters with information that will aid in making Election Day choices.

The series of meetings have been scheduled for Aug. 30, Sept. 13, Sept. 27 and Oct. 11, with all to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Veterans Memorial Park Meeting Hall on West Lebanon Street in Mount Airy.

“This will be a chance for voters to learn about the candidates in a personal way,” explained Pilot Mountain resident Paula Stanley, a representative of the sponsoring group. “People will have the opportunity to submit questions and to hear what the candidates have to say about their plans and what they want to accomplish.”
