Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Chris Coons: I Will Support Harry Reid And The Obama Agenda



"As a Senator, his first vote would be for Mitch McConnell to lead the United States Senate. I don't think that's in Delaware's best interests, and I don't think that's in our best interest. My first vote would be for Harry Reid to be the leader, and to support, in general, the administration's agenda."
