Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

CNN’s John Roberts Scolds Co-Anchor Kiran Chetry Live On-Air

(By Steve Krakauer, Mediaite) - A few people have asked us why no one’s written about this jaw-droppingly awkward interaction between American Morning co-anchors John Roberts and Kiran Chetry last week.

After some searching, we found what they were talking about. Wednesday morning, right before Roberts was set to interview David Axelrod, he sternly reprimanded her for some off-screen distraction.
