Is Lisa Murkowski’s write-in momentum gone?

Did Lisa Murkowski miss her chance?

(By SHIRA TOEPLITZ, POLITICO) - Two weeks after Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski was unexpectedly defeated in the GOP primary, local political insiders said the moment might be passing for her announce a write-in campaign.

Murkowski has not said yet whether she will stay in the race for her seat, but even her supporters warn that the window could be closing for her to seize on momentum from the reaction to her stunning loss to attorney Joe Miller last month.

“In my opinion, she has weakened her position as a write-in candidate every single day she has waited,” said Art Hackney, a Republican political consultant in Alaska and a Murkowski supporter.
