Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

91st NC House race has a familiar look

Bryan Holloway and Ed Gambill

Perennial foes split on using incentives to bring more jobs

KING (By Lisa O'Donnell, Winston-Salem Journal) - Bryan Holloway and Ed Gambill are squaring off for a third time in the 91st House District.

“He’s my perennial opponent,” said Holloway, a Republican who is running for a fourth term in the 91st, which covers Stokes and Rockingham counties.

Gambill, a Democrat, said he feels he has a better shot at upending Holloway this time than he did in 2008. One reason, he said, is what he called Holloway’s lack of success in bringing jobs to his constituents.

He chided Holloway for spending time pushing through a bill that allowed Priddy’s General Store in Danbury to sell bologna sandwiches.
