Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Charles Krauthammer Confronts Nina Totenberg Over NPR ’Hypocrisy’

(By Meredith Jessup, The Blaze) - Since news analyst and Fox News contributor Juan Williams was dismissed from NPR for expressing an opinion, questions have arisen over the NPR’s “editorial standards,” specifically why NPR correspondent Nina Totenberg remains employed by NPR after making comments such as suggesting Republican Jesse Helms and his grandchildren be afflicted with AIDS.

Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer didn’t hesitate to ask Totenberg herself during an appearance on Inside Washington:
