Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Report: Barney Frank’s GOP Opponent Heckled By Frank’s Boyfriend Following Debate

(By Glynnis MacNicol, Mediaite) - Apparently heckling is the new attack ad. Here’s the latest heckling vid to be making the rounds. After exiting a debate with Barney Frank at the WGBH studios in Boston on Thursday GOP opponent Sean Bielat was in the midst of giving an interview outside the studio when he was heckled by a passerby. By all accounts the passerby was none other than Frank’s boyfriend James Ready.
