The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

CNN to Lorena Bobbitt: 'Are You Finally Able to Laugh About It?'



(Eyeblast.tv) - Hosting Lorena Gallo -- formerly Lorena Bobbitt -- on Tuesday's 10 a.m. newshour for CNN, anchor Alina Cho asked Gallo if she can now laugh about a 1993 domestic dispute, where she severed her husband's penis in response to what she claimed to be repeated spousal abuse.
