Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Dem Congressman: Illegal Aliens are ‘De Facto Citizens’

(By Meredith Jessup, The Blaze) - During debate over the DREAM Act Wednesday, Rep. Jared Polis, D-Colo., blames a “broken” immigration system for allowing illegal immigrants to live in the United States, calling them “de facto citizens.”

Ignore that whole “illegal” tidbit. They have “pluck.”
