Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Gov Chris Christie (R-NJ) Mocks Teachers Union Theatrics



(The Right Scoop) - The Teachers Union decided to call a press conference to announce they were moving tenure cases from administrative law judges and to arbitrators. Christie reiterated his view that tenure, as it stands now in NJ, should be severely reformed or simply terminated and he likened the above theatrics to "rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic" or him getting a haircut and calling a press conference!
