Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Caught on Video: Neighbors Make Dramatic Rescue in Raging Brazilian Mudslide

(By Meredith Jessup, The Blaze) - Recent torrential rains and mudslides have killed hundreds of people in one of the nation’s worst natural disasters in decades. So far, neighbors have watched as their neighbors homes have swept away in a calamity that’s claimed at least 460 lives, with many more missing.

In a dramatic scene caught on tape, a woman was pulled to safety by her neighbors as a wall of water and mud swept away her livelihood:
