Democratic Congressman Steve Cohen (TN) Likens GOP Obamacare Critics to Goebbels and the Nazis
(By Eric Scheiner, CNSNews.com) - Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) likened Republican critics of Obamacare to the Nazis and their propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels and Nazis in House floor debate last night.
Cohen claimed that describing the health-care law signed last year as a government take over of the health care system, as many Republicans have, is a "big lie" in the style of the Nazis.
“They say it’s a government takeover of health care, a big lie just like Goebbels. You say it enough. You repeat the lie, you repeat the lie, you repeat the lie and eventually people believe it. Like, blood libel. That’s the same kind of thing,” Cohen said.
