Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Fox’s Chris Wallace To Speaker John Boehner: Why Do You Cry And Smoke

(By Matt Schneider, Mediaite) - In addition to getting serious about budget deficits and the debt ceiling, the conversation between Speaker of the House Boehner and Chris Wallace on 'Fox News Sunday' also expanded to include talking about two of Boehner’s most well-known characteristics: crying and smoking. Wallace asked bluntly, “why do you cry so often,” to which, Boehner almost cried again, right on cue.
