Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

MSNBC Hosts ex-Catholic Priest Who Uses Platform to Bash Church



(Eyeblast.tv) - MSNBC hosted ex-Catholic priest Fr. Cutie on its 3 p.m. EST Friday news hour. Cutie left the Catholic priesthood in May of 2009 after his secret love affair was discovered. He is now a married Episcopalian clergyman and has since ripped the Catholic Church for its adherence to teachings on priestly celibacy.
