The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Wild Video: Australia’s Raging Flood Waters Wash Away Parking Lot of Cars

(By Meredith Jessup, The Blaze) - So far, historic floods in Australia’s Queensland state have claimed 18 lives, eight of them taken in a tsunami-like flash flood that struck the city of Toowoomba Sunday afternoon. Without warning, the city of 90,000 was hit by raging torrents that washed away cars and houses.
