George W. Bush’s Daughter Barbara Endorses Gay Marriage

(By Alex Alvarez, Mediaite) - Former president George W. Bush may have told C-Span that he’s through weighing in on politics, but that doesn’t mean one of his twin daughters, Barbara Bush, is going to remain silent.

The Bush twin is lending her image to a Human Rights Campaign video in support of same-sex marriage. She’s certainly not the first politician’s spawn to disagree with her famous parent’s views (Ahem.), but her stance is all the more noteworthy given her and her sisters’ relative distance from politics over the years.

But perhaps more surprising than the younger Bush’s views is her decision to label herself a “New Yorker” for marriage equality. Why are you messing with Texas, Barbara?
