Goalie Fight! Brent Johnson Knocks Out Fellow Goalie In One Punch

(By Dan Fogarty, SportsGrid) - The Pittsburgh Penguins’ Brent Johnson found himself in the middle of that rare (but special) sports occurrence last night: an NHL goalie fight. Johnson squared off with the Islanders’ Rick DiPietro, and knocked him out in one punch.

The brouhaha started when DiPietro threw his shoulder into the Penguins’ Matt Cooke as he skated by. Johnson, from the other end of the ice, saw the opposing goalie knock over his teammate, and was obviously not pleased. So as their teammates fought amongst themselves, Johnson and DiPietro decided to have a little fight of their own.
