The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. (Breitbart.tv) - That's some real "Hardball" reporting there, Mr. Matthews. NBC anchors can't have anyone from Republican leadership on their shows without spending ten minutes on "birthers" but here Matthews has someone from a group that organized a rally with 'real' racist elements and he gives him a pass.
