Steve Doocy and Hugh Hewitt: Politico Has ‘Lost Its Way’ And ‘Loaded Up On Lefties’

(By Matt Schneider, Mediaite) - 'Fox & Friends' co-host Steve Doocy previously revealed he’s no fan of the political website 'Politico', or as he called it a “lefty” blog, and this morning conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt joined Doocy in his criticism. Hewitt declared 'Politico' has “loaded up on lefties” and has “lurched to the left.”

Worried that 'Politico' has suffered from the “beltway drift” of becoming liberal when inside Washington D.C. for too long, Hewitt hopes they can soon hurry back to the center. However, he’s worried that “in their alliance with NBC, which is the hard left network, that 'Politico' has kind of lost its way.” Instead Hewitt and Doocy expect 'Politico' to take a major hit when the new venture from Rupert Murdoch, 'The Daily', is unveiled later today, since they predict it will be reporting from the center.
