Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Bernie Goldberg: Fox News’ Jesse Waters Is Not ‘An Objective Reporter’ Who Practices ‘Journalism’

(By Frances Martel, Mediaite) - Fox News detractors can say plenty of things about the network, but they certainly can’t say it won’t air dissenting opinions. On tonight’s 'O’Reilly Factor', regular guest Bernie Goldberg refused to defend 'Factor' house reporter Jesse Waters from CNN criticism of bias for his report on protesters outside Fox News. While host Bill O’Reilly called him “desperately wrong,” Goldberg insisted his colleague didn’t practice journalism and wasn’t, despite appearances, an “objective reporter.”
