The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Cheerleader Pretty Much Has Exorcism After Winning Championship

(By Brad Cohen, SportsGrid) - When you win any kind of competition, a celebration is expected. But after the University of Memphis hip hop dance team won the Universal Dance Association’s college championship, one of their cheerleaders pretty much had an out of body experience. And it’s great to watch.

Luckily, two eagle-eyed viewers videotaped themselves watching the event, and rewinded it over and over again so we could all relive the celebration.
