Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

‘Run Faster!’ New Video Shows People Running Just Inches Ahead Of Tsunami

(By Mark Joyella, Mediaite) - A new amateur video obtained by Al Jazeera English shows residents in the Japanese town of Minamisanriku as they ran to safety ahead of the tsunami which devastated their town. In the video, a group of people is seen trying to carry someone to safety as the water rushes toward them. People on a nearby hillside shout at them, “run faster!”
