Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Video Captures Quake Rocking CNN Bureau In Japan

(By Mark Joyella, Mediaite) - As the magnitude 8.9 quake hit Japan, CNN’s Tokyo bureau was staffed and busy–and someone had a camera to catch the building as it shook. The video shows walls rocking, television monitors swaying and, amazingly, a CNN staffer working the phones to cover the story.

The CNN bureau in Japan normally has six staff, all of whom are reportedly unhurt. But the bureau’s about to become a very busy place, with added correspondents already en route to cover the aftermath.
