Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Anti-DC school choice activist unhinged ; tells reporter to “drop dead”

(By Joe Schoffstall, The Blast) - Kerry Picket of the 'Washington Times' went to ask Washington, D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray a straightforward question on the DC school voucher program. After she was finished, a man confronted her on her ‘bias’ and told her to “drop dead” when she asked for his name.
