The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Fire Completely Destroys Country Music Star Trace Adkins’ Home

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (AP) — Country music star Trace Adkins lost his home to a fire Saturday afternoon.

Adkins’ spokeswoman said in a statement to The Associated Press that the singer and actor was headed to Alaska to perform when his house caught fire. He was on his way back to Tennessee late Saturday.
