911 Service Still Out in Stokes Co. Due to Crash

STOKES COUNTY, NC (WGHP) — Emergency officials said an accident has interrupted 911 services in Stokes County.

EMS dispatchers told FOX8 that a crash on Flat Shoals Road has cut off phone lines to 911.

Anyone in the area with an emergency should go to the local fire department or call 800-672-2851, dispatchers said.

As of 2:25 p.m., 911 is still out. Officials did not say when the service is expected to be restored.

There do not appear to be any serious injuries in the accident, dispatchers said. Other details specific to how the crash occurred were not available.
