Flying Squad: Car Thief Caught By PC He Hit

(Sky News) - A man has been jailed after being chased by a police officer he had run over in a stolen car just moments before.

PC Dan Pascoe was setting up a roadblock on a slip road on the M25 with his police car when it was struck by the stolen vehicle he was trying to stop.

The force of the collision sent PC Pascoe flying into the air but he immediately got back to his feet and began chasing the thief who had abandoned the car and fled.

He caught up with the driver and used his taser before collapsing. Other officers were able to arrest the man.
