The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. RUSH LIMBAUGH – “I’ll guarantee you that Obama was hoping this was going to be a disaster an another excuse for his failing economy. If he’s out there blaming tsunamis, blaming earthquakes, and whatever other natural disasters there are. This one was made to order but it just didn’t measure up.”
