Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

‘We Are What You’re Looking For’: North Carolina Town Rallies to Attract Beck Business

Beck is launching a new “1791” clothing line that will support his new Mercury One charity initiative.

It’s not clear how many jobs might be involved in the early stages.

But who will make those clothes and where?

Mount Airy would like to be on the consideration list.
