Wildlife Officials Shoot, Kill More Deer for Disease Testing
DOBSON, NC (WGHP) — Nearly a week after wildlife officials shot and killed nine deer on a Randolph County rehabilitation farm, it has been learned that wildlife officials killed two deer last month in Dobson for the same reason.
Two fawns that Freddy Snow was nursing back to health were euthanized in August. Just like the case with Wayne Kinley, wildlife officials said Snow did not have a license to keep deer in captivity.
State wildlife officials said licenses are needed to keep deer in captivity in order to prevent the spread of disease.
