Meth, 40 guns and $100k in stolen property found in Jeremy Mayfield's home, sheriff says


CATAWBA, NC (WBTV) - Former NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield was arrested Tuesday night on drug charges and detectives say they found methamphetamine, dozens of guns and nearly $100,000 in stolen goods from his home.

Mayfield was arrested in his home in the town of Catawba on possession of methamphetamine charges, according to the Catawba County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies had gone to Mayfield's home to execute a search warrant on a tip that there was stolen property in the house.
