Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Brit Hume: GOP Congress ‘Terrified’ Of Newt Gingrich Nomination
