The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. (Breitbart.tv) - Chris Matthews berates Steve Schmidt, the man MSNBC brought on to be the lone voice from the right on their election night coverage, and treats him like the target of an inquisition rather than an on-air colleague. To her credit, anchor Rachel Maddow quickly jumps in and corrects Matthews' obnoxious and incorrect assumption.
