Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Liberal Congresswoman Whose Husband Went to Federal Prison For Tax Evasion Tells Rich: ‘Pay Your Fair Share!’



(Breitbart.tv) - Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), addressing Democrats and Occupiers at the "Occupy the Dream" on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in Chicago, demands that the rich pay their fair share. Schakowsky's husband, Robert Creamer, went to federal prison in 2006 on charges of bank fraud and tax evasion. Schakowsky herself allegedly signed the errant tax returns, but was not prosecuted.
