Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Jay Carney: ‘No Opinion’ Whether Democrat-Controlled Senate Should Pass A Budget



(Breitbart.tv) - White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was asked to respond to Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's comment that the lack of a budget creates "uncertainty" which is "negative for growth."

Carney responded: "I have no opinion; the White House has no opinion on Chairman Bernanke’s assessment of how the Senate ought to do its business."
