Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Quote of the day

Steve Brenneis opines:

It will be all I can do not to respond to this without using vulgar language.

First: Matt Lauer is a pinhead.

Second: Jimmy Carter is a pinhead.

Third: Papal funeral delegation rules: No pinheads allowed.

No, wait, George W. and Slick Willy are going, so the third point can't be true.

If I was Condoleeza Rice, I would go find Matt Lauer and %!^*# slap him.
