Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

My Nanny would be so happy!! She was one of the Historical Society members in 1975 who fought to preserve the house.

Col. Martin is an ancestor. His daughter was actually kidnapped by the Tories and he later found her at their camp at Tories Den (which is where it got the name). She had the presence of mind to tear off bits of her petticoat, leaving a trail for her father to follow.
