Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: RE: RE: RE: The Leash-Girl and "Busting Providence"

Behethland responds to Steve:

Well, both. I understand the concept of a soldier not asking questions and just following orders, but I believe there are instances where they SHOULD question commands. If this girl was ordered to put a leash around a man's neck and pull him like a dog, she should have questioned not only the necessity but the civility of that action. Not to mention the naked dog piles and simulated sex acts.

I must admit, I would make a horrible soldier. I would have to know the reasons behind commands and would question the validity of most.
