NC Republican Lawmaker Wants Troops Home From Iraq

From CNSNews.com:

Rep. Walter Jones, a North Carolina Republican, has supported the U.S.-led war in Iraq until now. On Sunday, he said he will introduce legislation calling for a timetable to bring U.S. troops home. "We've done about as much as we can do" in Iraq, Rep. Jones said on ABC's "This Week." "I believe that once we train the Iraqi people to defend their country, then it should be their fight," he added. Jones blamed neoconservatives in the Bush administration for botched war planning, and he said the reason for the invasion -Saddam Hussein's alleged stockpiling of weapons of mass destruction -- was "never there."
