Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Veto-Proof Highway Robbery

From The American Spectator:

Two weeks ago the Senate voted 89-11 in favor of a Highway Robbery Bill worth $295 billion -- $11 billion more than what the House passed back in March. Now the only question is to what extent the Senate and House will split the difference.
